| Stub can be multiple things, generally a small code function that either reroutes/blocks function calls, can use any language |

| the original function did some the stub just makes it return, sometimes the stub is just to reserve it till one gets back to completing it |

| Yeah I thought a "stub" was on the dark side of programming, so I assumed it wasn't going to have a definition on Wikipedia. |
