| Some retards do believe this and it's because if you trace the lineage of the people in the Bible back to Adam it comes out to about 6,000 years worth of generations or some shit. |

Agreed.
- You probably won't find anyone seriously interested in religion around here to answer your question. |

What truth would that be? The fact that science cannot explain the age of our planet? They're all predictions or theories. Not saying I believe Earth is 6,000 years old or even how old science attempts to describe it as.
Not to say science doesn't have a much better understanding and method for determining an estimate than an old book filled with fairy tales, but they're just estimates. Every new discovery could prove/disprove so much. Then there are a lot of things that cannot be discovered (due to being destroyed) and only theorized about, which could change/prove/disprove a lot of theories.
Earth is probably some billions of years old, but how much can we really estimate or theorize after most of everything has been completely recycled, destroyed, transformed, etc.
Don't forget science can learn a lot from fiction as well as fact. Where would we be if nobody used their imagination and tested/attempted to disprove completely fictitious/imagined ideas?
Afrojack answered your question. |

| The generally accepted age for the Earth and the rest of the solar system is about 4.55 billion years (plus or minus about 1%). This value is derived from several different lines of evidence. |

| I think the accepted date of the great flood is 11000BC. I'm not a religious guy but religious folks would have to believe the earth was at least this old. |

There are some young earth Christian filmmakers on some forums I go to that are making "end times" films. They feel that these types of films will reach the most "non-believers" because they are more exciting and less preachy. Personally, I think they are just limiting themselves as filmmakers by being retarded
One person expresses how he would like to include preaching about how the flood of Noah's ark was the cause of dinosaur bones being so spread out. Yes, they believe that Noah gathered up a male and female t-rex and put it on a boat
The part you should care about is when one of these people goes onto the mainstream media and claims to be the "back-bone of America," the talking heads actually take them seriously |

I would like a link to the one about T-REX on the ARK.
Dinos are way older than the flood even if you believe carbon dating is only accurate to 100k Yrs.
Do some research on cave formations(stalactites/mites) and then see if you still think the earth is young.
Direct measurement via radiometric dating gives stalactite ages over 190,000 years (Ford and Hill 1999). Other deposits in caves have been dated to several million years old. For example, argon-argon dating of alunite (an aluminum sulfate mineral) gives an age of 11.3 million years for a cave near Carlsbad Caverns (Polyak et al. 1998). |

| I got into a discussion about religion once with a customer of mine and he told me that (in his religion) they believe Noah took 2 of each dinosaur onto the arc. He also told me that "DNA is slowly becoming more and more corrupt, which is why we don't live as long as the people in biblical times" |
