On a more serious note, they would actually have to prove the existence of the debt to collect it. Take Paypal for example, how are they going to justify that 4,000$ debt? "Oh, this guy did some business, but we chose to refund everyone... Money back please?" Or my dentist : "Oh, I facture 2,000$ in treatment I didn't do yet and an extra 2,000$ just for the hell of it". Insurer : "Oh, this guy paid his premium for four years but... BUT WE WON'T PAY HIM ROFL!".
And my business : "Hmm, he's one of the five owners, but let's make him pay 100% of the debt although the four other might pay!"
And even if I don't win, the point is to try  |

I wish this happened for my family...
My mom tells me today, that we have 54 USD in the bank, and that she's filing bankruptcy... We own a granite business, and 3 of the highest granite businesses in Chicago closed down last month, guess we're next.
