When you have the opposing factions flag go to the roof, it is the best defensive position. There is only one way for the opposing faction to get in. Also, there are many ways to escape. This is basic knowledge however, some people may not know it. Now for the good stuff:

If you are on the roof, your healer is dead and you are also about to die, jump off the roof. Right when you jump, logout. Doing so will cause you to be suspended in the air for 19 seconds until your logout timer runs out. Make sure that you cancel the logout before the timer runs out. If you don't you will get logged out, crash to the ground, die and lose the flag. Loser.

These 19 seconds could help you a lot. They could give your team time to come to your rescue. Also, melee characters cant't hit you.

You hit logout just before jumping, also if you type /logout while bugged in the air, hit it then hit cancel, it keeps you up for 19 more seconds, thus you can stay up for an unlimited ammount of time

do you have to be in a bugged WSG to get the jump+/logout+cancel quick to stay up for more than 19 seconds to work or do you mean something else when you say bugged

You can't logout while moving.

You can logout (using a macro) then jump quickly afterwards but you only get 1-2 feet before you stop in mid-air, still within melee range of the people on the roof.

I just tested this and this is what I found, does anyone else know of some other trick that allows them to exploit this?

Personally I would just keep a dreamless sleep potion on me. Chug that in mid-air and you will stop wherever you are and heal until you get hit.

I dont know if mine just worked because I was lucky, or had lag or something. But here is what i did;

made a simple macro, just saying "/logout", then i ran of the edge, jumping didn't work for me, but if i ran normal, it worked. Other problem is that you cant do this while in combat, so basically useless in wsg, if ur healer is dead, you are in combat. tested itsome more while writing here, i pushed the macro pretty fast after running off, i think it took me out of melee range, but not far. If i wated some more, i got the cant logout now message : / And after further testing, it seems to me that you need to do it while you still have the run animation in the air, not the fall animation : (

And i didn't get it to work, with doing consel, and then hit macro again, then i got a message saying cant do that or something.

WOW... guys... u run and RIGHT before u jump! u hit logout, it will jump in the air and THEN it give syou the message saying logout, then you will be in the air floating

you could make a macro saying /logout to press fast (like placing it on 1) this should help you a bit

You don't have to lag at all. I do it all the time wearing a turban during raids. Just hit logout and jump right after. It takes some practice, but once you get it, it's easy.
